Pressing and releasing the switch in one direction raises the low idle speed by a calibrated increment, such as 25 RPM, and pressing and releasing the switch in the other direction lowers the idle speed by the same calibrated increment. The low idle speed adjustment switch enables the driver to adjust the low idle speed using a two-position momentary toggle switch. The default low idle speed is defined by the calibration. Low idle speed is controlled by the low idle governor which prevents the engine speed from dropping below a predetermined value by controlling engine fueling.
